Last week Caltech harvested its campus olives and sent them off to be pressed into olive oil.

Former Caltech mathematics professor John Todd died last week. His wife, Olga Taussky-Todd was the first woman professor at Caltech. Olga Taussky-Todd’s autobiography is available on the Caltech Archives website, and an oral history interview with John Todd is posted on the Center for Advanced Computing Research site.

Cahill Center construction in progress
The Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics is being built at Caltech on California just east of Wilson. The Caltech Astronomy department has a Cahill Center construction webcam here.
