A few weeks ago, Erin of erin’s kitchen, Mr. Erin, Gavin and I went to Chung King in San Gabriel for Sechuan food. We were inspired by a Jonathan Gold review, and it was as good as he said it would be (although none of us were as into the pig ear as he was).

I just read on Erin’s blog that the pig ear is served COLD?! You guys are brave to have ordered it! How many bites did you actually take?
I think we all had what might be called nibbles rather than bites. It wasn’t the sort of thing that lent itself to biting as far as we could tell, but we weren’t quite sure.
Someone left a comment on my blog that it should have been sliced for us? Not sure it would have made a difference, but perhaps….
